Waterproof labels from Labelplanet® are supplied on A4 sheets ready for you to print. We offer 14 water resistant materials in 54 label sizes, including rectangles, circles, ovals, and squares.
Choosing Waterproof Labels – the most important things to consider.
What is the difference between a matt or gloss waterproof finish?
While the main difference is their appearance, there are other benefits to each finish. Gloss is easier to wipe and so stays cleaner. Matt is better for printing barcodes that need to be machine-readable or for labelling surfaces that themselves have a matt finish. Gloss materials do differ so we recommend requesting a sample to check the finish suits your application.
What kinds of waterproof adhesive are available?
We offer two types of waterproof adhesives; permanent and removable. Some of our permanent adhesives are of the marine quality BS5609 standard.
Removable waterproof adhesives are great if you need temporary outdoor waterproof labels; for example, as signage for a short-term event like a sports event, fair, exhibition, or conference.
Permanent waterproof adhesives are used for labels that must not fall off when exposed to water. They are often printed with critical contact or product information, warnings and advice, or instructions for use that must remain in place and legible at all times.
What is the difference between waterproof polyester and other materials?
Polyester is hard, rigid, heat resistant, thin, non-stretchy, and fully waterproof, which makes polyester labels best suited to flat or gently curving smooth surfaces. Our range includes white (matt and gloss), clear (matt and gloss), and silver (matt, mirrored, and void adhesive) polyester materials.
The non-polyester waterproof labels we offer are thicker, more flexible, softer, and deformable, which makes them great for uneven surfaces or curved surfaces. The MWPE in particular is extremely sticky and waterproof. These materials are not heat resistant.

We have used Label Planet as our main...
We have used Label Planet as our main supplier of product labels since starting our company and have found their products to be of excellent quality. We tried another manufacturers products but rapidly came back to Label Planet as their product is far superior.
