What is the difference between “matt” and “gloss”?
Answer:
These are terms for the “finish” of our label materials; the finish of a material refers to the qualities and properties of that material’s surface, such as its appearance and texture. Matt and gloss describe the shine of a material’s surface, with matt being used for materials that have a dull, non-shiny finish and gloss being used for materials that have a bright, shiny finish.
We offer a range of gloss labels and matt labels, as well as semi-gloss paper labels, which offer a compromise between the two.
