What is the difference between “waterproof” and “splashproof”?
Answer:
Our polyester, polyethylene, polyolefin, and polypropylene labels are all waterproof, which means that they can be exposed to or immersed in water without being damaged. Our “splashproof” labels are paper labels, which means that they will be damaged by exposure to or immersion in water BUT they have a gloss or semi-gloss coating that offers a limited degree of protection if they are lightly splashed with water (hence “splashproof”), which allows them to be wiped clean and dry if they get slightly wet. This makes them an ideal substitute if you want your labels to have some protection against water but your budget doesn’t quite stretch to a fully waterproof solution.
