The amount of deviation from a given specification that is considered acceptable in the manufacturing of items in order to meet a particular standard of quality Any quantifiable measurement may be allowed a tolerance such as the dimensions of an item or the number of items produced in a batch In labelling tolerances will apply to all of the materials used to produce labels as well as the dimensions of the labels and the quantities they are produced in For example an A4 sheet of labels may have a tolerance of - 2mm for its height and width measurements and a tolerance of - 5 for its caliper or a ream of labels 500 sheets may have a tolerance of - 10 sheets for its total quantity

A6 - What is A6?

Definition of A6:

An international standard for paper size. The A6 size is defined as measuring 105mm wide by 148.5mm high (with a tolerance of +/- 1mm). An A6 sheet is half the size of a sheet of A5 and a quarter of the size of a sheet of A4.
