Definition of WATER BASED ADHESIVE:
Adhesives that are made using water as the adhesive carrier or vehicle during coating. These adhesives are emulsion systems where the adhesive components are dispersed in water, which allows the adhesive to be coated in liquid form before the water is evaporated to leave the adhesive components behind. These adhesives may also be called aqueous adhesives or waterborne adhesives.
