The amount of deviation from a given specification that is considered acceptable in the manufacturing of items in order to meet a particular standard of quality Any quantifiable measurement may be allowed a tolerance such as the dimensions of an item or the number of items produced in a batch In labelling tolerances will apply to all of the materials used to produce labels as well as the dimensions of the labels and the quantities they are produced in For example an A4 sheet of labels may have a tolerance of - 2mm for its height and width measurements and a tolerance of - 5 for its caliper or a ream of labels 500 sheets may have a tolerance of - 10 sheets for its total quantity

C6 - What is C6?

Definition of C6:

An international standard for paper size, most commonly used for envelopes. The C6 size is defined as measuring 114mm by 162mm (with a tolerance of +/- 1-2mm). A sheet of A6 will fit into a C6 envelope.
