Face Stock - What is face stock?
Definition of FACE STOCK:
Any paper or other material (including films, fabrics, and foils) that can be converted and used to produce the top layer of a basic label construction. Face stocks may have a coating or coatings applied to alter their finish and to protect the material from damage during storage and end use. In a finished construction, the face stock is bonded to a layer of adhesive and carried on a backing sheet.
