Freezer Labels - What are freezer labels?
Definition of FREEZER LABEL:
Labels that are applied onto items that are to be stored and/or used in deep freeze conditions. These labels are made with a special freezer adhesive that can withstand cold temperatures; freezer labels and adhesives will be supplied with a recommended storage range to indicate the temperatures they will operate at most efficiently. They are often removable at room temperature but become permanent once exposed to deep freeze conditions.
It is vital that frozen items are labelled with key pieces of information during storage so that they can be used safely once they are removed. Deep freeze applications are also likely to require a certain level of hygiene and safety when labelling items. The most common applications are as labels for food and laboratory sample storage. Food products can be labelled with their ingredients, nutritional information and allergen warnings, preparation and serving guides, and best before dates. In laboratories, medical and research samples can be labelled with identifying information, project details, and sample history data such as dates and previous results.
