Offset - What does offset mean?
Definition of OFFSET:
The term offset can be used to refer to a kind of printing defect (also known as set-off) or a particular group of printing methods (known as Offset Printing).
At Label Planet, however, we usually use this term to describe some of the layouts of our sheet labels. Most of our label sizes have a centralised layout; this means the labels are grouped in the centre of each A4 sheet with equal top and bottom margins and equal left and right margins. Some of our label sizes, however, have layouts where the labels are not centralised but sit closer to the left or right margin of each A4 sheet so that one of these margins is larger than the other - we refer to these layouts as being off-centre or "offset".
