Pitch - What does pitch mean?

Definition of PITCH:

A measurement of the distance between successive corresponding points or lines.

In terms of labels, this is the measurement between the leading edge of one label and the one next to it - including any gap between the two. The vertical pitch is the distance from the top of the first label to the top of the label below it and the horizontal pitch is the distance from the left edge of the first label to the left edge of the label next to it. Pitch measurements are often used in the construction of label templates.
