Definition of PRIMARY LABEL:
A type of product label. The primary or prime label is generally placed in a prominent position on the top or front of a product. It is usually decorative and eye-catching, and includes only the most important pieces of information about the product. This may include the product name, contents, company name, a slogan or tagline, logo, and brand colours. The primary label should grab a potential customer's attention and convey the brand identity of the product.
