Printable Area - What does printable area mean?
Definition of PRINTABLE AREA:
Most standard desktop printers cannot print to the very edge of an A4 sheet. This means that there is an unprintable border around the edge of a sheet; the centre of the sheet is known as the printable area and is defined by four printer margins (top, bottom, left, and right). Most printers have options such as "Fit to Printable Area“ or "Fit to Printer Margins“, which will automatically resize a document to the printer margins of a particular printer. Some programs such as Microsoft Word will also automatically detect the printer margins of a particular printer. Laser printers usually have a larger printable area than inkjet printers.
