Protective Coat - What is a protective coat?

Definition of PROTECTIVE COAT:

A type of coating; a clear film that is applied to the top surface of a face material before or after it has been printed to create a protective coating. A protective coat is designed to protect the face material and print of a label from being damaged by environmental factors such as abrasion, light, chemicals, and moisture.

A roll of clear protective coat, which will be applied to a face material during the manufacturing process.
