A treatment that is applied to the backing sheet of pressure sensitive labels during the manufacturing stage. The standard release agent used as the release coating in pressure sensitive labels is silicone. This coating means that when a label is removed from its backing sheet, it releases cleanly and easily with no part of the label remaining stuck to the sheet.
