Retail Labels - What does retail labels mean?
Definition of RETAIL LABEL:
Labels that are applied to products and carry the identifying and pricing information for that product. Retail labels are usually printed with alphanumeric (variable) information or barcodes that are encoded with that information. Variable information is the information that is unique to a particular product or product range; this could include a lot or batch number, a unique product number (e.g. SKU, GTIN, UPC, EAN, ISBN, ISSN, MPN), or a part or model number. Pricing information can range from printing the recommended retail price (RRP) of a product to a price look up code (PLU), which is typed into a device or scanned to bring up the correct pricing information at point of sale.
