Shelf Life - What does shelf life mean?
Definition of SHELF LIFE:
The length of time a product can be stored for before it becomes unsuitable for consumption; the term is applied to goods which deteriorate or perish over time. In labelling, all label products are given a recommended shelf life, based on the period of time during which all elements of the label remain functional. The most time sensitive element of a label is usually the adhesive, which can begin to harden or soften naturally over time. Shelf life is usually based on the items being stored according to "normal" or specifically recommended environmental conditions.
