Definition of SHIPPING LABEL:
Labels that are used to add delivery information to items that are being delivered by post or by a courier/carrier service; shipping labels are usually chosen when an item has multiple pieces of detailed delivery information that need to remain with an item throughout the delivery process. This could include various addresses (delivery, invoicing, return etc), instructions for delivery and handling of the item (such as directions to the delivery address, warnings for fragile items etc), shipment details (such as weight, number of packages etc), tracking information (such as a tracking number/code or tracking information encoded as a barcode or QR code that is scanned at each checkpoint during the delivery process), or content information (including a general description or any relevant warnings or safety guidelines for the content being shipped).
