This is a reduction in any dimension of a sheet of labels, and can occur in any of the layers used in a construction. Shrinkage can be caused by a number of environmental factors; a change in humidity is a common cause of shrinkage as it can affect the moisture content of a sheet of labels. It can also be a natural result of the passage of time.
