As you might imagine, our most popular label sizes are the sizes that are requested most often; they’re also the most popular sizes requested across the whole of the labelling industry.
What Are The Benefits Of Choosing “Popular” Self Adhesive Label Sizes?
There are a number of benefits to choosing a popular label size – most of which are the result of the fact that “popular” sizes tend to become “standard” sizes.
The labelling industry wants to manufacture label sizes that customers actually want to buy, which has led to certain sizes becoming a set of “standard” label sizes that are manufactured in extremely large volumes on a regular basis. This has a number of benefits for customers:

Popular Label Sizes Are Readily Available
Manufacturers make self adhesive labels in these sizes ALL THE TIME, which means that they are often in stock and available for same day despatch. Bespoke label sizes are made to order, which means they have longer lead times during which the self adhesive labels will actually be made for a specific customer.

Popular Label Sizes Are Available In Smaller Quantities
Smaller packs of self adhesive labels tend to be available when there is a ready supply of stock that can be broken down into smaller quantities. Bespoke label sizes are only produced in specific and requested quantities.

Popular Label Sizes Are Cheaper
These sizes are produced in bulk, which makes them less expensive to produce compared to bespoke label sizes (that have additional manufacturing set up costs) – making them much cheaper to buy.

Popular Label Sizes Are Better Supported
These label sizes are much more likely to be supplied with label templates and printing advice. It is also more likely that a compatible label template will be available in the software a customer wants to use to design and print their own self adhesive labels (such as the Label Templates built in to Word).

Popular Label Sizes Are Available In More Material & Adhesive Options
Popular sizes are available in more material and adhesive options. While standard paper labels are available in a wider range of label sizes, if you want a different material or adhesive (used to make waterproof labels, transparent labels, coloured labels, removable labels, security labels, freezer labels, gloss labels, opaque labels, or high tack permanent labels) you will probably find that they are available in a limited range of label sizes (made up of “popular” / standard sizes).

Our range of popular label sizes includes nine rectangular labels and four round labels as follows:
- LP1/210: A4 labels measuring 210mm by 297mm
- LP4/99: 4 sticky labels measuring 99.1mm by 139mm
- LP8/99: 8 sticky labels measuring 99.1mm by 67.7mm
- LP12/63: 12 sticky labels measuring 63.5mm by 72mm
- LP14/99: 14 address labels measuring 99.1mm by 38.1mm
- LP21/63: 21 address labels measuring 63.5mm by 38.1mm
- LP40/45: 40 sticky labels measuring 45.7mm by 38.1mm
- LP65/38: 65 mini labels measuring 38.1mm by 21.2mm
- LP84/46: 84 mini labels measuring 46mm by 11.1mm
- LP12/64R: 12 round labels with a 63.5mm diameter
- LP15/51R: 15 round labels with a 51mm diameter
- LP35/37R: 35 round labels with a 37mm diameter

All of these label sizes are available in all 30 of our self adhesive label ranges – and most are also available for same day despatch from stock in packs of 25 sheets.
