Here's our top tips for how to test sample labels effectively when comparing or testing adhesives.
We often get sample requests from customers who want to check that a certain adhesive will work for the purpose that they have in mind. Perhaps they need an adhesive that can stick to an unusual or a curved surface, or perhaps they need a removable label that won’t leave behind unsightly residue marks. We are always happy to send out samples for customers to test, but we also have a tip for how to test the labels effectively when comparing or testing adhesives.
Obviously, the first test people will do is to place the labels in the situation in which they will be used. However, if you don’t want to damage the surface you will be applying the labels to, or if you want to compare adhesives, a great way to test adhesives is to take two labels and (partially) stick them together (leaving yourself a strip that you can use to peel them apart), and then compare how easily they come apart.
Label Planet has a range of special adhesives available, including two removable adhesives (super removable and removable), an extra strong adhesive (high tack), and two specialty adhesives (freezer and marine quality).
You can see all of the special adhesives we have available in our handy “Special Adhesives Table”.
