Product Information
These rectangular labels are supplied on A4 sheets of standard matt white paper with square cut corners and a permanent adhesive. They can be printed using either an inkjet or a laser printer and are suitable for writing on. Our square cut labels can be used for hundreds of different purposes. Most labels are used to add information to items (to identify and inform about that item); as signs or notices containing information, directions, instructions, warnings, or reminders; or as decorative stickers that can be stuck onto items.

Many of our square cut rectangular labels come with a selvege or blank strip along the top and bottom, and in some cases down either side, so that it is possible to print to the top and bottom, and/or left and right, edges of all of the labels. Most desktop printers cannot print right up to the edge of an A4 sheet; usually there is a border of approximately 3-5mm that cannot be printed. The selvege on our square cut rectangular labels means this border is accounted for in the layout of the labels and will prevent issues with printing to the edge of the labels.
All of these label sizes are for rectangular labels with square corners. We also supply additional sizes of rectangular labels with rounded corners.
Common Uses
Square cut labels can be used for the same applications as rounded corners but tend to be used more in commercial and manufacturing settings. This is usually because of their appearance or when more space is needed as they are slightly larger than their rounded. They are easier to set up for printing because there are no margins or gaps between the labels to consider.
- Product Labelling – they are often printed with product descriptions and retail bar codes and stuck on to product packaging. This allows product variants to be added to generic packaging, which means the packaging can be bought in volume (at a lower price) and used to pack every variation of a particular product.
- Case Labelling – for identifying the contents of cases containing retail products or for identifying business to business products, which are used directly from the case. These labels can be applied to the side or top of a case; they can also be used as wrap around labels to label two adjacent sides with one label. They are a great way to barcode cases for quick identification.
- Pallet Labelling – we supply quare cut labels up to an A4 sheet size, which is extremely popular for use on pallets. They are usually stuck onto the stretch or shrink wrap during production or repacking.
- Warehouse Labelling – ideal for general labelling in packing and storage areas, including shelf labelling and location labelling.
- Despatch Notes & Parcel Labelling – square cut labels are a simple, budget friendly way to label envelopes and parcels with addresses, delivery instructions, and despatch notes. These labels can be handwritten or printed – perfect for small and large businesses.
- Amazon Labelling – our LP3/210 label size has been a favourite with Amazon traders for over 10 years. It can be used to print the documentation for customer orders so the top label forms the despatch label while the bottom two labels remain on the backing as the invoice and product details.
